Shahi Awadhi Paratha

Ingredients
- 500 g ground beef or chicken (approx 1 lb)
- 1 finely chopped onion
- 1 small piece of ginger minced
- 2 cloves garlic minced
- 2 green chilli minced
- 1 tbsp garammasala
- 2 cups whole wheat flour
- 1 cup milk
- ¼ tsp salt
Instructions
- Sieve the flour with salt and knead into soft dough with milk and a little water.
- Cover the dough with a damp cloth and set aside.
- Heat 1 tsp of oil and fry ginger, garlic and green chilies.
- Add the onions and the garammasala. Fry until the onions are well browned.
- Add the ground beef or chicken and cook for 10–15 minutes or until fully cooked.
- Divide the dough into equal sized balls and flatten each ball with a rolling pin.
- Place a tablespoon of the ground beef or chicken mixture and gather edges to cover.
- Dampen the edges of the dough with a drop of water and pinch together to seal.
- Now flatten the "ball" of dough again with rolling pin. Repeat with the remaining dough balls and filling.
- Apply oil to each side and fry in flat pan until golden brown on each side.
- Serve hot with KFI Mint Sauce.
