Channa Masala

Channa Masala is popular mainly in the Punjab region of northern-India, and also notably in the regions of Gujarat. In Gujarat and Rajasthani areas, it is commonly cooked dry, with tangy spices. The main ingredient is chickpeas. It is fairly dry and spicy with a sour citrus note. Try this vegetarian recipe with a very hot green pepper on the side!

  • 1 can Chick Peas
  • 1 jar KFI Rogan Josh Sauce
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • ¼ cup finely chopped yellow onion
  1. Combine the chick peas and the KFI Rogan Josh sauce in a sauce pan.
  2. Simmer for 8 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  3. Add the chopped onion and lemon juice and mix well.
  4. Serve over a bed of basmati rice or with naan bread.
